Privacy Policy

Elevate is built by Lightbox Studios. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Elevate mobile application and related services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of data to provide app functionality:
- Email address — used for account authentication via Sign in with Apple and Firebase Auth.
- Display name — from Apple Sign-In, shown in your profile and to friends.
- Health and fitness data — workout sessions, exercises, sets, reps, weights, personal records, and body weight entries that you create through the app.
- Heart rate data — collected from Apple Watch via HealthKit during workout sessions, with your permission. Used to display per-set heart rate metrics.
- Social data — friend connections, workout presence status, and emotes sent between friends.
- Subscription status — managed by Apple via StoreKit. We store whether you have an active subscription but do not process payment information directly.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide core workout tracking functionality
- To sync your workout data across devices via Firebase
- To enable social features (friends, live workout viewing, emotes)
- To detect and celebrate personal records
- To display heart rate analytics during and after workouts
- To manage your Elevate Pro subscription status
3. Data Storage
Your workout data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData. If you create an account, data is also synced to Firebase (Google Cloud Platform, US-based servers) to enable cross-device access and social features.
Heart rate data from Apple Watch is processed on-device and stored locally. Aggregate heart rate metrics (average, peak, minimum per set) may be synced with your workout data if you have an account.
4. HealthKit Data
Elevate requests access to HealthKit heart rate data to provide real-time heart rate tracking during workouts. This data is:
- Only accessed with your explicit permission
- Used solely for displaying heart rate metrics within the app
- Never sold to third parties
- Never used for advertising purposes
- Stored locally on your device
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Firebase (Google) — authentication, cloud database, and push notifications
- Apple StoreKit — subscription management and payment processing
- Apple HealthKit — heart rate data access (on-device only)
We do not use any advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or cross-app tracking frameworks.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Your workout data may be visible to friends you've added in the app (workout status, exercise names, and emotes only).
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing elevate@trainwithforge.fit. Upon request, we will delete all data from our servers within 30 days. Local data on your device can be removed by deleting the app.
8. Children's Privacy
Elevate is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
