Terms of Service

1. Description of Service

Forge (Trainer App) is a voice-powered workout logging application for personal trainers. The app records training sessions via your device microphone, transcribes speech to text on-device, uses AI to structure workout data, and provides tools for client management and analytics.

Forge Client is a companion app for clients of Forge trainers. It allows clients to view their workout history, submit weekly check-ins, track body weight, and self-log workouts between trainer sessions. Forge Client is provided free of charge. Clients access the service through an invitation from their trainer.

2. Account Registration

Trainers: You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use Forge. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Clients: Your account is linked to a specific trainer. You sign in using a passwordless magic link sent to the email your trainer has on file. You are responsible for the accuracy of self-reported data (check-ins, weight entries, self-logged workouts). Switching trainers may require re-authentication.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Forge for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the application
• Attempt to access other users' or other clients' data or accounts
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the service
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service
• Record individuals without their knowledge or consent
• Submit false or intentionally misleading health data (check-ins, weight entries)

4. Subscription and Billing

Forge offers the following tiers:

• Free — 10 lifetime sessions at no cost. Includes session logging, AI parsing, and client roster.
• Pro ($19/month) — Unlimited sessions, voice editing, group classes, full analytics, and CSV/PDF export. Also available as an annual plan.

Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store via RevenueCat. You may cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled according to Apple's refund policies.

5. Your Data

You retain full ownership of the data you create in Forge, including workout sessions, client information, and programs. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is collected, stored, and processed.

Client data visibility: Self-logged workouts, check-in responses, and weight entries submitted through Forge Client become part of the training record and are visible to your trainer. Trainers use this data to adjust programming and track your progress.

6. Intellectual Property

The Forge application, its design, code, brand, and documentation are the property of Lightbox Studios. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application for its intended purpose. This license does not include the right to modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the application.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Forge is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Forge is a workout logging tool — it is not medical advice, not a substitute for professional fitness guidance, and should not be used to diagnose or treat any health condition. AI-parsed workout data should always be reviewed by the trainer for accuracy before being shared with clients.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lightbox Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of Forge.

9. Termination

Trainers: Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may delete your account by contacting us at elevate@trainwithforge.fit. Upon request, we will export or permanently delete all your data, including all linked client data. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Clients: Your trainer may remove you from their roster at any time, which revokes your access to the Forge Client app. You may request deletion of your data by contacting your trainer or Lightbox Studios directly. If your trainer deletes their account, all associated client data is also permanently removed.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Forge after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
